I've never heard that before
. . .of course I have! I'd be lying if I said I hadn't. I've always been a bit of a loud mouth. Usually speaking what was on my mind. Some people have told me that I have an attitude. I prefer to call it sassy. I just have a very low tolerance for foolishness. That's all. Life is just too short to let people ruin your day, so I just say what I have to say in my own little sassy way and keep moving forward?
Be silent
You just might be surprised at what you hear. Let your thoughts take over. And besides, you can't hear anything if you aren't listening. At least that's what I tell myself all the time. One of my all time favorite verses from the Bible is:
Be still and know that I am God.-Psalm 46:10
I have to remind myself of this all the time when I am praying. Sometimes all I do is talk at God, instead of listening to him. It's when I'm silent that I find that I have to do less praying!!!
Try it. Be silent, if only for a minute. And while you're listening in your silence, wiggle your toes for good measure!!!
Until tomorrow. . .Happy WIGGLING!!!!

It's all in the approach
Look at each new day for what it is. Unchartered territory. Embrace your new adventure and explore all it has to offer.
Until tomorrow. Happy EXPLORING!!!!

Are you listening?
Well, if you're talking to yourself, you know at least someone is. I feel like that all the time. Like I'm talking to myself and the sad thing is, I'm around people. LOL Ever been there. I'm sure you have. That's why most of the time, I just save my breath!
Until tomorrow. . .Happy LISTENING!

We all need it!
More patience! I know I do. I am probably one of the most impatient people EVER! And as much as I love a good nights sleep, if I knew I could get by with just a couple hours of sleep, I would keep on, keeping on! I love what I do and there aren't enough hours in the day for me to create!
I think we could all take a lesson from nature and Sally and Bella!
Adopt the pace of nature:
Her secret is patience.-Ralph Waldo Emerson
Oh, and on a side note. I accidentally deleted several of the comments from yesterdays tutorial post on my ipad, clicking the 'delete' option instead of the 'publish' button, so if you don't see your comment, would you be so gracious as to repost. :)

Video Tutorial-Blending & coloring
I finished the video yesterday with the coloring and blending with the Prisma Colors & Faber-Castell pencils. I wasn't exactly sure about how to present the video, so I'm hoping that it will perhaps be what you were looking for. Remember, I am new to all of this, so if you don't like it or have suggestions or would like to see something else, PLEASE feel free to leave a comment or email me. Believe me, I have very thick skin. I would rather someone be totally honest with me in order for me to make my tutorials better, than to simply be nice and say, 'I love it', when you really hate it. LOL Seriously. I welcome the feedback. Good or bad.
So, here goes. This is the newest tutorial on coloring and blending with the colored pencils. I am listing what I used but it is the same process for how to choose your colors. And remember, this is only how I do it and the colors that I used. You may have a way that works better for you, or colors that you like better, so if it works for you, run with it!
Paper:
Strathmore Bristol Paper
Copics:
R29, E30 & W5
Colored Pencils:
Crimson Red, Tuscan Red, Ivory or white
Beige, Golden Rod, Raw Umber
Warm Grey III, Warm Grey V, Warm Grey I & White
So, until tomorrow. . . .Happy COLORING!!!
And remember. . .leave a comment with your ideas, suggestions or just to say hi. I love to read them!

Here is the 2-sided bristol board paper that I was referring to in the video that is available @ Hobby Lobby.

Let's sleep on it
. . .and I'm going to have to. I didn't get much done yesterday as the power went out because of the storm, so I was playing catch up ALL day! But I did manage to get this little sketch completed as I was thinking how well it is going to feel to hit the pillow tonight when I'm done with everything.
And here is one reason that I've been so stressed. I have been working on and have a brand new shop open dedicated to Sally, Bella, Noah and eventually Bandit and Charlie.
Check it out.
Until tomorrow. . . .Happy DREAMS!
